UP TO 140.000 VISITORS AT THE SCHÖNBRUNN CONCERT
Up to 140.000 enthusiastic visitors enjoyed a magnificent evening with the fourth "Concert for Europe - Schönbrunn Concert" in the imperial ambiance of Schönbrunn Palace gardens. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Valéry Gergiev performed inspiring pieces of classical Russian music from Tchaikowsky to Stravinsky. For the first time the music performance of Austria's celebrated orchestra was "translated" into dance. Kathrin Czerny together with members of the Vienna State Opera Ballet performed in front of the Gloriette and of the Neptun Fountain parts of "Swan Lake", "Nutcracker" and "Sacre du Printemps".
